Health Criteria
All permanent and provisional visas (certain temporary visas) will need to pass health criteria by completing health examinations as part of their visa application.
Medical examinations for Australian permanent residency can be undertaken in Ireland, the UK and other locations internationally. The Department of home affairs have a list of approved practitioners and panel physicians that will assess and advise if you meet the Australian immigration medical requirements.
When do you complete your medical:
- Kelly & O’Connor Migration will advise when you need to complete your medical.
- We will ask you a list of questions which you will need to declare honestly and you will also need to complete health declarations.
- Once completed we will then generate a HAP ID.
- The HAP ID is needed to book your medical assessment.
Concerns about your medical:
If you have concerns about your medical, we work closely with migration lawyer based in Australia who specialises in this area and can give an indication on whether or not you will pass health criteria. Please contact us for more information and we can advise the process going forward.
